ProLink Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I not finding myself or other known contacts when I select multiple search criteria?
Please note that all multiple criteria selected produces "AND" results - showing results that meet ALL of the chosen criteria combined, (not "OR" results showing each criteria independent of each other. For example, searching for a person or business with criteria A , criteria B and criteria C - will produce results of those who meet ALL THREE criteria (A AND B AND C)- not a list of just those who meet either (A or B or C). Here are a few specific examples:
- Example 1: If you select [State = Florida] and [Professional type = CART Captioner], you will see results for people in Florida who are ALSO CART Captioners.
- Example 2: If you search on the following criteria: [State = California], [Credentials = RDR] and [Professional Type = Freelancer], you will only see results of people who meet ALL the criteria of living in California, holds an RDR, and is a Freelancer, (NOT a list of people who meet either one of the criteria).
- Example 3:
If you search on a specific city- the system will search that city only. You may choose instead to do a Zip code search (using the Zip Code Search Radius - a proximity search which is a search within a certain number of miles) to provide results which are not limited to a specific city or a state.
NOTE: Reminder: The NCRA ProLink directory showcases NCRA members who OPT-In to be featured in the public directory. Members who opte-out will not show up in directory results.
