Arizona Court Reporters Association

The Arizona Court Reporters Association has started a mentoring program that matches graduates with working reporters so new reporters have a buddy their first year of reporting. For more information, visit acraonline.org.

California Court Reporters Association 

This program is designed to match court reporting students with court reporter mentors. The purpose is to encourage, support, guide, and nurture the next generation of court reporters through school and during the beginning stages of their careers. Visit cal-ccra.org for more information.

Delaware Court Reporters Association

Delaware has no formal mentoring program; however, the state association is always available to assist individual students in finding mentors who are willing to help. Email the association secretary for more information.

Deposition Reporters Association of California, Inc.

Deposition Reporters Association of California‘s mentoring program is designed to help court reporting students and new licensees transition into the real world of court reporting. For more information and to access to their downloadable mentoring forms, visit caldra.org/mentoring.

Michigan Association of Professional Court Reporters

The Michigan Association of Professional Court Reporters’ program matches new reporters with experienced reporters to ask questions, seek advice, or find encouragement. Visit their website to learn about the association or send an email to request information about mentors.

Minnesota Association of Verbatim Reporters & Captioners

Minnesota has a liaison between court reporting schools and its association board, whose members answer students‘ questions. The association also will find mentors for students if asked. Email the association at info@mavrc.org or visit mavrc.org.

Missouri Court Reporters Association

The Missouri Court Reporters Association Student Mentoring Program matches working reporters with students in an effort to provide encouragement and support to reporting students. For more information, email Rebecca A. Brewer, student affairs committee chair, or visit mocra.org.

Tennessee Court Reporters Association

Students who need extra help or personal attention can sign up for the mentoring program for the Tennessee Court Reporters Association (TCRA) to receive guidance from a professional court reporter. Virginia Court Reporters Association

The Virginia Court Reporters Association‘s mentoring program matches both students and working reporters with experienced mentors. Mentees and mentors are matched by professional goals as well as geographic location. Interested individuals should contact the association at info@vcra.net.
