STARK COUNTY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS NOTICE OF POSTION OPENING POSITION TITLE: COURT REPORTER

The Court of Common Pleas, General Division, is seeking an individual to serve as Court Reporter. Under the direct supervision of the Court Administrator and Deputy Court Administrator, this position will be responsible for recording verbatim notes of Court proceedings and hearings; and for providing accurate transcripts of these notes as required. Competitive salary is supplemented by transcript fees and step-ups for certifications. FTR Gold recording system provided to supplement transcript preparation. Equipment is also provided.

Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and possess an associate’s degree in court reporting or RPR certification. Registered Professional Reporter certification highly preferred. Must maintain continuing education necessary to retain certification. Ability to write Real Time preferred. Job share may be considered.
