NCRF Linda Breech Memorial Advocacy Scholarship

The NCRF Linda Breech Memorial Advocacy Scholarship, created by the NCRA Government Relations Department in partnership with the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF), provides full registration for one eligible student to attend the NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp happening March 1-3, 2026 in Alexandria, Va. Learn more about NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp. Travel expenses and accommodations are to be paid by the student awardee.

This scholarship honors Linda Breech, RPR (Ret.), who served as an official court reporter for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Los Angeles, Calif., for nearly two decades before freelancing in the Denver, Colo., metro area. A respected reporter, business owner, and NCRA member for nearly four decades, Linda was a passionate advocate for court reporting, captioning, and legal videography. Her commitment to service and professional excellence continues to inspire the next generation of advocates.

Scholarship requirements

To apply for the Linda Breech Memorial Advocacy Scholarship, applicants must complete the application form and provide the following:

  • Upload a most recent transcript from an NCRA-approved school.
  • Attest to current NCRA membership in good standing
  • Attest to valid voter registration at your current address
