COURT REPORTER: Annual Salary $ 53,472.00 - $80,207.00
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED or a related field required
- Completion of required apprentice and/or internship training in court reporting and sufficient course work to obtain certification as a court reporter from a recognized licensing or accrediting agency
- Professional Certification as a Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) issued through the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA)
- Professional license as a Certified Court Reporter (CCR) issued by the Board of Court Reporting of the Judicial Council of Georgia
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record and transcribe court proceedings, ensuring accurate documentation of criminal and civil cases, motions, and hearings
- Test and maintain digital court recording equipment, ensuring functionality before proceedings begin
- Manage exhibits and documentary evidence during trials, ensuring proper inventory, storage, and documentation
- Train court reporter interns and maintain communication with attorneys, court officers, and the public regarding transcript requests
