Marjorie Peters is a freelance court reporter, CART provider and captioner, and owner of Marjorie Peters Court Reporting based in Alexandria, Va. She is a nationally recognized and networked realtime court reporter specializing in realtime and daily/expedited copy; complex/technical litigation; depositions; trials and arbitrations specializing in pharmaceutical, scientific, and technical IP; and mass tort litigation. As an independent broadcast captioner, she has worked on all national news programs on NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, ESPN, and The Weather Channel, as well local affiliates and cable channels. She is also a part-time court reporting instructor at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh.

She holds the nationally recognized professional certifications of Registered Merit Reporter (RMR) and the Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR). She is also a member of the Fellows of the Academy of Professional Reporters (FAPR).

At the national level, Peters has served on numerous NCRA committees including the Education Content and National Outreach. She has also served on NCRA’s Realtime Subcommittee and on NCRF’s Angel Gatherers Committee. She has also presented numerous times at NCRA events.

At the state level, Peters has served in several capacities for the Pennsylvania Court Reporters Association, including as president-elect, secretary, and district director, as well as on numerous committees.

Within her community, Peters is actively involved in the local chapter of Self‐Help for the Hard of Hearing, Light of Life Rescue Mission, and the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
