Sue A. Terry, is a freelance court reporter from Springfield, Ohio and currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the NCRA Board. She holds the nationally recognized professional certifications of Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR), and Certified Realtime Captioner (CRC). She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Professional Reporters (FAPR).
During her tenure as 2018-2019 NCRA President Terry steered the Association toward a new direction as part of new, three-pillar strategic plan. Among the accomplishments under her leadership included the launch of NCRA 2.0, an effort to emphasize the Association’s advocacy efforts for members, increas¬ing transparency, strengthening our govern¬ment relations team, and, most importantly, highly valuing its members’ voices.
Terry has also served as a Director and also Vice President of NCRA. She was co-chair of NCRA’s Technology Evaluation Committee and a member of its TRAIN Committee (Taking Realtime Awareness and Innovation Nationwide), the Finance Committee and Executive Search Committee. She is a past president of the Ohio Court Reporters Association (OCRA) and the StenoCAT Users Group, and is the recipient of both groups’ Distinguished Service Award. She has extensive experience as a presenter and has led seminars for OCRA, NCRA, the StenoCAT Users Group and the Ohio Supreme Court, as well as many state court reporting associations.
