NCRA’s Legal Video Conference offers comprehensive training for legal videographers of all levels of expertise. Experienced legal videographers can learn about the latest developments in the field from industry leaders while candidates who aspire to the Certified Legal Video Specialist certification can complete the CLVS Seminar and/or production skills test. Attendees will also have the opportunity to mingle and build important contacts during the Saturday Network Reception, as well as visit the exhibit booths to learn about the latest legal video products and technologies.

For CLVS Candidates: The CLVS Seminar and Production Skills Test

Take the first step toward certification with the CLVS Seminar. Friday will provide an introduction to legal video and equipment while the mandatory day on Saturday will cover the CLVS standards and deposition procedure. On Sunday, candidates may choose between the hands-on track or the advanced continuing education track.

Highly experienced legal videographers may be qualified to take the Experienced Track, completing the CLVS Seminar segment on Saturday and the production skills test on Sunday, leaving only the written knowledge test requirement to be completed. See the registration information section for more details.

For Current CLVSs

Current CLVSs earning continuing education units (CEUs) can expect a program packed full of insights and information about the latest trends and advances in the legal video profession. Intermediate- and advanced-level sessions on Saturday and Sunday will provide those who are already certified with the chance to take their skills to the next level while earning CEU. Please see the CEU information above and the agenda on the following pages for details.

2014 Cycle Extension

If you’re a current CLVS whose CEU cycle expires in 2014, the Legal Video Conference offers up to 1.2 CEUs, more than enough to fulfill the CLVS requirement of 1.0 CEU. Although cycles typically end on Sept. 30, we’ll automatically extend your cycle if you register.

Here’s how it works:

If your CEU cycle ends on 9/30/14 and you haven’t met the requirement:
By registering for and attending the Legal Video Conference, your cycle will automatically be extended to 1/30/15, causing any CEUs you earn before that date to be applied to the current cycle.

If your CEU cycle ends on 9/30/14 but you’ve already met the requirement:
Your cycle won’t change, and any CEUs you earn at the Legal Video Conference will be applied to your 2014-2017 CEU requirement.
