Leadership

Marcia Ferranto

Executive Director & CEO

Marcia is inspired by people and leading groups toward successful outcomes, but she’s learned that if you are leading and no one is following, you are only on a long walk. She spends her fun time at the beach in Fenwick Island, Delaware.

 Marcia Ferranto

Kevin Kelly

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin’s favorite thing about his job is the opportunity to do something different every day he comes to work. There are tasks that need to be done every day, but it is never dull. For fun, he loves to read, primarily mystery and crime novels by Lee Child, David Baldacci, Stuart Woods, etc. He has also spent the last 10+ years with his daughters on the softball field or in the stands watching. He is proud of his ability to maintain an even demeanor regardless of the news that is being delivered to him. He believes having a calm attitude is very helpful in controlling your emotions when you get news that is great or not so great.

 Kevin Kelly

Cynthia Bruce Andrews

Senior Director, Education and Certification

Cynthia’s favorite part of her position is outreach: turning on the light bulb for someone who knows nothing about court reporting or the profession, or talking to counselors and helping them understand how to describe the profession and all that it offers. She also enjoys celebrating the accomplishments of the students she has met while at NCRA. For fun, she loves spending time with family and friends; instead of planning long vacations, they take advantage of quick getaways. The most important thing she’s learned is that the more things change, the more they stay the same … but they do change.

Mary Petto

Senior Director, External Affairs

The most important lesson Mary has learned in the past five years is that nothing is impossible; we are only limited by our imaginations! That is the best thing about her job – she gets to uncover and create corporate growth and workforce development opportunities that affect the expansion of the industry.

 Mary Petto

Angie Ritterpusch

Senior Director, Member Relations & Events

Angie is inspired by the journey to find ways to connect passion and purpose, and she has learned that difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. She says NCRA’s best-kept secret is that our leaders give tirelessly of themselves to design the best opportunities for our community. Her favorite thing to do for fun is to find the next best beach and book for recharging.

Operations

Laura Butler

Executive & Governance Operations Manager

As a long-tenured NCRA employee, Laura most enjoys helping new staff and board members adapt to NCRA’s culture and procedures. She’s learned that while history and institutional knowledge are important, one must be open to change and growth, particularly in this time of rapidly changing technology. Laura is most proud of her organizational and time management skills, and she loves spending time with her three beautiful grandchildren.

Gloria Banikas

Communications Project Manager

Gloria’s favorite thing about her job is working with NCRA’s graphic designer, Rue Capri Brown, to come up with creative pieces for NCRA events, online and print advertising, and all other projects. For fun, she loves being with her first grandchild, who was born in November 2017.

 Gloria Banikas

Rue Capri Brown

Creative Manager

Rue’s favorite part about her job is working with wonderful creative people at NCRA. She says, “We have created many unique campaigns that have been well received by both staff and membership.” She is inspired by any design: advertising, websites, email marketing, billboards — even typography at the beginning of movies. And she loves finding typos on truck signage.

Jackie Hippolyte

Web Manager

Jackie likes both the technical hands-on aspect and strategic part of her job, which offers her a great balance with the opportunity to be creative with Web content and see the bigger picture on a strategic level. She also likes the diversity in a day’s workload. No two days are ever alike, so her days are never mundane. Finding solutions to challenging problems or just learning new ways of doing things inspire her the most. She is proud of her ability to effectively multi-task on a variety of projects.

 Jackie Hippolyte

Jennifer Late

Assistant Director, Membership Marketing

Hard work and lifelong learning inspire Jennifer, and our members have these qualities in spades, which makes it so easy for her to love her job. For fun, she loves new experiences: attending cultural festivals, trying an activity like Taiko drumming, eating at hole-in-a-wall restaurants, or traveling someplace she’s never been before.

 Jennifer Late

Megan Rogers

Content Manager

Megan’s favorite thing about her job is taking a complicated sentence and making it flow smoothly, concisely, and clearly. Editing is like a language puzzle. She is most often inspired by music, specifically instrumental (classical) or choral music. She recently became a mother, and her son has been teaching her to slow down and laugh more.

 Megan Rogers

Annemarie Roketenetz

Assistant Director, Communications & Public Relations

Annemarie’s favorite thing about her job is working with our members to help increase the public’s awareness of the court reporting and captioning professions and about the many possible and rewarding career opportunities that are available. In the last five years, she has learned how dedicated and committed our members are to their work and to the overall profession. Their passion inspires her when doing her job.

 Annemarie Roketenetz

Jacqueline Schmidt

Managing Editor, JCR

Jacqueline loves reading stories from members, from everything about how and why they do what they do, their first or most unusual jobs, what tips they’ve picked up in the field, and so much more. She likes to share whatever we find that is useful with NCRA members. She spends her free time with her husband and three kids, seeking adventures. And she spends a lot of time reading.

 Jacki Schmidt

Education & Certifications

Sandra Bryant

Credentialing Coordinator

Sandra loves working for a profession whose ideals she can fully support and is inspired by the stories our members tell of how what they do has helped others. She says NCRA’s best-kept secret is that the JCR article tests are the quickest, easiest, and least expensive way to complete the continuing education requirements. For fun, she dances ballroom and swing, and she’s proud of her ability to relate to teenagers.

 Sandra Bryant

Amy Davidson

Director, Certification and Testing

The most important thing Amy has learned in the last five years is to take nothing for granted and learn to enjoy the little things in life. She is proud of her ability to help people have a good laugh, saying, “It really is therapeutic.” She likes to shop and loves the challenge of finding that particular something that really is special for the recipient.

 Amy Davidson

Ellen Goff

Professional Development Manager

One of the best aspects of Ellen’s job is traveling around the country visiting court reporting programs as part of NCRA’s recertification process. It is a great learning opportunity for her to meet the administrators, faculty, and students who are working so hard to make this profession thrive. As her children get older and begin the process of applying to college, she has learned how important it is to focus on family, even as she negotiates the challenges of work.

 Ellen Goff

Eva Liu

Certification and Testing Program Manager

Eva is inspired by working every day with our amazing volunteers who contribute so much and have great passion for the professions. She enjoys working with people, and in her position, she has the opportunity to work with our testing candidates, members, vendors, and internal departments. Eva loves the great outdoors and any activities involving being outside and enjoying nature.

 Eva Liu

Member Relations & Events

Natalie Dippenaar

Assistant Director, Member Relations

Natalie is a lifelong student and has signed up for many different courses, from data analytics to wine tasting. She says NCRA’s best-kept secret is that the library is a peaceful retreat, where she can be quiet and surrounded by books.

 Natalie Dippenaar

Terpse Gentile

Event and Volunteer Relations Manager

Terpse is highly motivated, detailed oriented, and often considered a “go-to” person. She is driven by excellence and determined to learn new skills and gain knowledge in new technologies. Terpse has a team mentality and thrives on collaborative environments. On a personal level, she loves to travel with her husband and spend time with her growing family.

 Terpse Gentile

Susie Simmons

Membership and Events Specialist

Susie enjoys interacting with the members and helping them with their membership questions or problems. A lot of members recognize her voice and are glad to talk to someone who has been with NCRA for a while. But she thinks people would be surprised that NCRA only has a staff of 30 people who do the work for 15,000 members. She is proud of her memory and her ability to learn things quickly, and she is inspired by great ideas and by compassionate, caring people. For fun, Susie and her husband enjoy playing tennis. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and camping. She’s learned to enjoy and love family while they are here, saying, “You really miss them when they are gone.”

Mona’s favorite thing about her job is working with the Committee on Professional Ethics and, in particular, helping them create the Public Advisory Opinions. Her family recently adopted a puppy, so she has been having fun playing with him and training him. She also enjoys hiking.

 Mona Savino

Marcia Stewart

Human Resources Manager

Since NCRA is a small- to medium-sized staff, Marcia enjoys being involved in many of the day-to-day operations for the Association that staff wouldn’t in a larger organization, such as meeting members of the Board of Directors or participating in strategic planning sessions. She’s learned to keep everything in perspective, saying, “Problems you think you are having might not be such a problem at all when you step back and watch what is going on around you, and don’t be afraid to ask for advice.” For fun, she loves to travel and see new places and be outside as much as she can. She also loves doing anything that lets her spend time with family and friends.
