Mobile Apps increasingly integrated into higher education

November 8, 2011

A recent nationwide survey from the Campus Computing Project showed dramatic growth in the use of mobile computing on college campuses over the past year. According to the survey, 55.3 percent of public universities now have mobile apps, compared to 32.5 percent a year ago. The survey also indicated that the vast majority of respondents (90.1 percent) agreed that “e-book content will be an important source for instructional resources in five years.” Campus Technology Magazine published an article summarizing the report, and the full Campus Computing Survey is available online.
