Students - You Are the Future of the Court Reporting Profession!
Court reporting students are the future of the profession. That's why the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) has created the Student Initiatives Program to help you achieve your goals.
NCRF is funding FREE STUDENT MEMBERSHIP in the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) to students who transcribe two oral histories under NCRF'S Oral Histories Program. These include oral histories of wartime veterans from World War II to the present wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They include histories of other notable Americans who have contributed to our country, such as attorneys who provide pro bono services to America's poor.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain practical experience in your chosen career and to reap all of the benefits of membership in NCRA. You'll receive NCRA's monthly magazine, the Journal of Court Reporting (JCR) and have access to the JCR archives, which are filled with education and career information; have access to professional development through NCRA's cutting-edge educational opportunities; receive NCRA's NewsFlash and Tech Tracker monthly email newsletters that give you the inside track on professional news and the latest in technology; get member discounts at the NCRA Store Online; AND you'll be included in NCRA's special Student Community of Interest, created specifically for court reporting students who are NCRA members.
With NCRA membership, you'll receive a wealth of resources to help you achieve your goal of becoming a certified court reporter. Everything will be available to you, from articles and information, to a special Student Newsletter, to mentoring and networking, to job and career counseling; and when that time comes, to online job referrals through bestfuture.com.
Get involved today! Transcribe two oral histories and get your FREE NCRA Student Membership. Already a paid NCRA student member? Great! Transcribe two histories, and NCRF will reimburse you!
To sign up, or for more information, please contact Beth Kilker, NCRF's Oral Histories Program Coordinator, at 703/556-6272, ext. 174; or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
