Education
NCRA provides legal videographer training via the Videotape in the Legal Environment Seminar & Forum. This event is held twice a year in varying locations around the country. For more information, including registration information for the next event, please visit the Seminar Homepage.
Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) Certification
The use of video in the legal environment is growing fast. Freelance depositions, courtroom video, video depositions... opportunities for legal video experts are unlimited and only NCRA's CLVS Program can prepare and certify you for these opportunities. More information.
The CLVS certification must be renewed annually. For non-members, the renewal fee is $60 and for Associate/Student members the renewal fee is $25. If you are a Registered or Particpating Member, your certification is renewed by paying your regular annual dues. The deadline to submit your renewal for the 2009 year is December 31, 2008. Update: A grace period has been offered until February 27, 2009
Online Networking
Forum
NCRA provides an online forum for all communities of interest. In October of 2008, this forum switched to a brand new, more user friendly platform. Join the dicussion.
LinkedIn
LinkedIn is one of the fastest growing professional networking sites on the Web. Used primarily as a resume building tool, users can find jobs, look for employees and build their professional connections. There are two groups available:
- CLVS Group - This group is available exclusively to CLVSs. Upon approval, you will be permitted to add the CLVS logo to your profile. Join this Group.
- NCRA Group - This group is available exclusively to NCRA members. Upon approval you will be permitted to add the NCRA member logo to your profile. Join this Group.

The CLVS Directory is comprised of all current CLVSs who have completed their certification. It is updated regularly, and a PDF printout version is available. Go to the Directory.

NCRA Membership
Any person seeking to become or who has been certified by the Association as a legal video specialist (CLVS) shall be eligible to become an Associate Member. You do not need to be certified to join, however you must have begun the certification process.
