California. Superior Court of California, County of Imperial is seeking a full time benefit eligible Court Reporter. $31.70 - $40.46 hourly.

Takes verbatim notes at court hearings, trials and other proceedings; transcribes stenographic notes to produce transcripts of courtroom activities. Reads back questions or other portions as requested. Attends civil and criminal hearings, trials and other proceedings to take stenographic notes. Edits draft copies and prepares official transcript of courtroom activities.
Requires Certification as a Certified Shorthand Reporter (C.S.R.) with experience in court hearings, trials or other proceedings. Knowledge of legal and medical terminology required. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. Requires experience in courtroom proceedings and activities in civil and criminal cases.
