Position Title:

Official Certified Shorthand Reporter – Rover

 

Location:

Eighth Judicial District – Southeast Iowa

May serve the following counties: Appanoose, Davis, Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, North Lee, South Lee, Louisa, Mahaska, Monroe, Poweshiek, Van Buren, Wapello and Washington. 

Prefer domicile in Jefferson County – Fairfield, Iowa

Salary:

Pay Grade 30, $48,464.00 annually, State of Iowa benefits package

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school (GED); graduation from a school of court reporting with courses including legal and medical terminology, English, typing and law. Certification as a court reporter by the Iowa Board of Shorthand Reporters preferred, but competent candidates without certification may apply subject to the provisions of Iowa Code section 602.6603(4), 

 

Duties:

This position is under the direct supervision of Chief Judge Mary Ann Brown.   The reporter will record court testimony via standard methods, prepare transcripts and provide general office and clerical support for the court.
