All candidates must present a photo ID for verification of identity when signing into the test center.
- Without exception, the first and last name on your photo ID must match the first and last name in your NCRA record. For example, if you have recently married, and NCRA has your married name, but your photo ID contains your maiden name, you will not be permitted entry to the testing facility. Or, if NCRA has your first name as Greg and your photo id has Gregory, you will not be permitted entry to the testing facility.
- Pearson VUE uses Palm Vein Recognition for personal identification of candidates at its written knowledge test centers. Your palm will be scanned at check-in to gain entry into the test room. This is strictly for identification purposes and will not be shared with, or compared against, any outside entity.
Registration and Scheduling
Registration and scheduling are completed separately in the following steps:
1. Register: Candidates must register (pay) for the exam fees using one of the following NCRA’s exam registration processes.
2. Scheduling: Candidates will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days. Your confirmation email will include information about scheduling your testing location, day and time.
Candidates will know their preliminary score before leaving the testing center. Preliminary scores are computer generated. To determine your official score, NCRA also reviews tests for accuracy. Official scores are available within 4-6 weeks of exam day.
NCRA publishes a Job Analysis for each certification. This document describes the overall professional practice areas and associated tasks essential for certification. This document also includes a section of recommended study material. A copy of each job analysis is available online here.
